Wedding preparations

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
my soul will exult in my God;
for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Isaiah 61:10

Summer is the prime season for weddings!  Such joyous occasions as the anticipation builds from the relationship’s beginning as the courtship and dating grew, a proposal was made and then the planning began! Counseling, setting a date, finding the venue, invitations and a myriad of details ensue!  It can become like labor – like marriage itself – a continual process with regular goals and seasons to travel  through.  Yet, rewards and merriment liven up the journey.

I had the pleasure of reading the book  Esther's Song.  The author paints a beautiful picture in words of the process that Esther went through in her preparation to be a bride…and queen!

There is much to be gleaned from Esther's story.   The book of Esther, chapter 2:

17 And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti. 18 Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even Esther's feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.
