The 21st (7x3) annual Jerusalem Pride Parade is unique in its character which is fitted to the character of the capital, with a heavy presence of the religious LGBT community and more of a political protest than the Tel Aviv Pride parade and other Pride events throughout the country.
Some 30,000 Israelis gathered in Jerusalem on Thursday for the Jerusalem Pride and Tolerance March in a show of support for the capital's LGBT community amid heavy police presence.
About 40 demonstrators waved signs against the LGBT community and chanted: "Don't give them children," "No entry to the Holy Land" and "Jerusalem is not Sodom."

Drought in Iraq Reveals 3,400-Year-Old City
Iraq is battling its worst drought in decades. Lack of rainfall and poor resource management has left communities that depend on the Tigris and Euphrates rivers devoid of the water they need to survive. So authorities drained part of the Mosul Dam reservoir in the country’s Kurdistan region this January to keep crops from drying out.
In the empire’s early years, the Mittanis tussled with Egypt over control of Syria until a truce was reached with Egyptian pharaoh Thutmose IV around 1420 B.C.E. The Mittanis fell to the Hittite Empire around 1360 B.C.E., and the Assyrians soon took over the area.

June 10 - The largest Pride Month celebration ever held at the White House.
Betty Who is the only act to perform at the event but the celebrations will also feature Baltimore DJ Queen HD. Thousands of other LGBTQ+ individuals have been invited by the president to enjoy Pride month in the capital. The first openly gay  White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Piette, said Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris think that having a celebration is an important way to 'lift up' their accomplishments and contributions. She said LGBTQ+ people need to know that Biden 'has their back' and 'will continue to fight for them. And that's the message that we want to make sure that gets out there.'

June 8/11 - Corpus Christi, a feast that celebrates Jesus's Last Supper, is celebrated by Roman Catholics. This feast is celebrated in the Latin Church on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday to solemnly commemorate the institution of the Holy Eucharist.
