weed or food? Beyond the ordinary garden vegetables and perennial fruits, many
traditional edible plants are unknown in our modern society. There’s so much we don’t know about homegrown,
natural edibles!
Here are
some images and resources to help you to know what to choose.
If you
are ever stranded in the wilderness of the U.S., unsure which direction is the nearest
grocery store or restaurant, fear not. The forest is your supermarket, and it
is time to go shopping! Below is a list of six edible plants (and fungi) found
in different parts of the U.S.

qualified instructor to show you the plants. Be aware that you may be allergic
to a plant that someone else can eat without harm. Be sure that any plants that

Even
urbanites can forage for wild edibles in common areas, and the suburbs will
yield a good harvest. Learn to spot poke sallet, dock, plantain, dandelion,
lambsquarters, wood sorrel (sourgrass), and thistle. All of these are edible

Certain pharmaceuticals
become dangerous after an expiration date. See DCC Vol. III, pg. 64, for a
list of medications not to use beyond expiration. I would recommend
herbal and alternative medicine approaches, as they are safer, and (in many
cases) stronger. Oil of Oregano (all oil, gel caps, and herb capsule forms),
Allimax (garlic compound preparation), fresh garlic, Colloidal Silver, Clove
Oil, etc. You may want to get reflux tablets, too (papaya enzyme type are
great), since many people get heartburn/reflux with strong garlic or oregano.
Oil of Oregano is good for any type of infection or bug, especially

Full "Honey Moon" tonight (exact at 4:31 a.m. Monday morning EDT). By no coincidence the Moon shines near Jupiter, which was at opposition just six days ago. "Full" and "at opposition" both mean "in the direction opposite the Sun" as seen from Earth.
The strawberry moon got its name from Algonquin tribes that saw the first full moon of the summer as a signal that it was time to gather the fruits around them.
The strawberry moon was a cause for celebration in other countries as well. But since strawberries didn't originally grow in Europe, people there called it the full rose moon. It's also known in various places worldwide as the hot moon, honey moon and long night moon.

The moon is soon to swing by the Pleiades star cluster and star Aldebaran, which rank as the two most prominent signposts in the constellation Taurus the Bull. The moon swings to the south of the Pleiades cluster on June 29, 2019, and then to the north of Aldebaran on June 30, 2019. Finally, the moon will meet up with the planet Venus in the glow of morning dawn on or near July 1, 2019. Here’s the tricky part of this observation. You probably won’t see all of the aforementioned objects at the same time. By the time that Venus rises into your sky, chances are the Pleiades star cluster and Aldebaran will have faded from sight in the glare of morning twilight. Venus, like the moon, also shines in front of the constellation Taurus in late June and early July 2019. However, the moon will move out of the constellation Taurus and into the constellation Gemini on or near July 2. Then, Venus too will move out of of Taurus and into Gemini, on or near July 4.

A fire at a 150-year-old refinery complex in Philadelphia. The fire broke out at the Philadelphia Energy Solutions Refining Complex around 4 a.m.
A fire was burning out of control at an oil refinery in Pennsylvania early Friday morning, and video captured a massive explosion that rocked the building and was felt throughout the city of Philadelphia.
NBC Philadelphia said the blaze at the 335,000 barrels per day Philadelphia Energy Solutions refinery was visible from miles away and triggered explosions that were felt as far away as South Jersey.
The crude section at the Girard Point portion of the refinery was shut down due to the fire, intelligence provider Genscape said. Biggest refinery on east coast.
