On the very first page of the Bible, we are told that the celestial lights were created for signs - and to divide day and night, and for telling time. When we study, and combine these characteristics, we have a greater understanding of how (and when) John saw the dragon sign, and what conditions were present when he saw a third of the stars cast down to the earth.
