      Sept 11 - The Biden administration informed Congress on Monday that it has taken concrete steps to carry out a prisoner exchange with Iran, issuing a waiver that will give Tehran access to $6 billion in Iranian oil revenue that had been blocked by U.S. sanctions, according to a State Department document sent to Congress. 
      Sept 18 -  United States and Iran finalized a prisoner swap involving the release of five Americans held on spurious grounds in Tehran. Washington, for its part, released five Iranian nationals charged with sanctions violations and other federal crimes (three of them chose not to return to Iran). In addition, Iran was given access to about $6 billion of funds previously held in South Korea.
      Washington has a long history of pairing the transfer of Iranian funds with Tehran’s release of hostages, including in 1981, 1991, and 2016, with the implementation of the nuclear deal. In each case, the United States reached financial settlements with Iran related to disputes originating with the 1979 Islamic Revolution, which were directly or indirectly connected with the release of Americans held hostage in Iran or Lebanon.

      Oct 7 - Sukkot / Feast of Tabernacles - Last Great Day 

      Shemini Atzeret (שְׁמִינִי עֲצֶרֶת‎—"Eighth [day of] Assembly") is a Jewish holiday. It is celebrated on the 22nd day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei
      Shemni Atzeret literally means “eighth [day] stop.” It is from the verse which tells us that after the seven days of Sukkot, “on the eighth day, a stop it shall be for you.”
      During the course of the 7 days of Sukkot, a total of 70 bulls were offered on the Temple altar, one for each of the 70 nations. In a sense, the Sukkot holiday included all of humanity. On this day, however, G‑d asks us to “stop” and celebrate one more day, just us and Him.
       One tradition says Jacob married Rachel on this day.

      Oct 9 (Day 3) - JERUSALEM — On the third day of fighting after Hamas militants launched surprise rocket and ground assaults, Israel ordered a complete siege of the Gaza Strip, even as its military was still trying to remove Hamas gunmen from small communities along the enclave’s border.
      Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told the Southern Command there would be a “full siege” over the densely populated enclave, which has a population of 2 million, bordered by Israeli fences and the sea.
      “No electricity, no food, no fuel. We are fighting animals, and we will act accordingly,” Gallant said on Monday, underscoring the all-out measures that many Israelis are calling for.
