Feb 8 - World's largest earthquake in two years hits Caribbean islands as tsunami warning issued - A powerful earthquake, estimated at a magnitude of 7.6 struck the Caribbean Sea north of Honduras on Saturday, prompting neighboring islands and countries to issue potential tsunami warnings.
The Tsunami Warning Center initially reported the quake as a magnitude 8 before revising it making it the largest earthquake to hit the world since 2023.

The eruption appears to have attracted thrill seekers, keen to test their courage and mettle in the face of danger. Feb 21 - PNW Earthquakes - BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA — People in northwest Washington might have felt an earthquake Friday afternoon. According to the United State Geological Survey (USGS) the earthquake hit near Sechelt, British Columbia, which is about a two-hour drive north from Vancouver, B.C.
The USGS said its preliminary estimate was a 5.1 magnitude in British Columbia. Some other reports suggest it may have been downgraded to a 4.7.
Feb 22 - 2-22 - Residents from Tacoma to as far as Olympia and Camano Island reported sensations of the earthquake. A magnitude 3.4 earthquake has shaken the waking moments of residents in western Washington, giving an early morning stir to cities including Auburn and Seattle. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed the seismic event occurred at 3:45 a.m., echoing beneath the earth's surface at a depth of 25.3 kilometers, as reported by KING 5. The quake’s epicenter pinpointed just southeast of Auburn, along the course of the Green River.
This is the second earthquake to happen in the Pacific Northwest in as many days. A magnitude 4.8 earthquake shook near Squamish, British Columbia Friday afternoon.
