Revelation 3

Wake up, and strengthen what remains …

9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.

11 I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. 12 The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name.
13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

February 16, 2023 - Abrahamic Family House opens in UAE: Interfaith compound houses synagogue, mosque and church - the complex was inaugurated on Thursday.
Open to worshippers from 16 February, and welcoming visitors from 1 March.

The Abrahamic Family House is inspired by the Document on Human Fraternity and is endorsed and “closely followed” by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam. The project was, however, supervised by the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity.
Designed by Sir David Adjaye, the three houses “captures the values” shared between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, and is named Imam Al-Tayeb Mosque, St. Francis Church, and the Moses Ben Maimon Synagogue, respectively. In addition, the complex will also host daily programs, activities, international conferences and world summits to “promote harmonious coexistence within communities.”

For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made by human hands, a mere copy of the true one, but he entered into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.  Hebrews 9:24

On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me” John 7:37

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

The Inauguration of the Synnagogue at The Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi

Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi

This week’s Torah reading (i.e., parashat Mishpatim) concerns various social and civil laws of ancient Israel.  Regarding the opening statement of the portion: “And these are the judgments (i.e., mishpatim: הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים) which you shall set before them” (Exod. 21:1), the sages state that this means there must be the recognition of social obligation between man and his fellow man before the obligation between man and God can be embraced (see Matt. 5:23-24).  This idea may be summed up as, “respect precedes Torah” (דרך ארץ קדמה לתורה), since without any form of brotherhood, unity, or basic civility, we are left with anarchy, anomie, and despair...
As we move closer to the prophesied “End of Days” (אַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים), it is evident that the world has become more and more lawless, heartless, and a place of despair. Civil law is flouted and every person does “what is right in his own eyes.”  The storm clouds are gathering...

The Human Fraternity mission with the Pope in the lead parallels much of the same mission as the Abraham Accords.
