Designated Alpha Tauri, Aldebaran is a bright orange giant star which is one of the easiest stars to find in the night sky. The second brightest star is El Nath which is from the Arabic phrase "the butting," as in butting by the horns of the bull.
There are two distinct
star groups in Taurus: the Hyades and the Pleiades. Hyades means “congregated”
while Pleiades comes from the Hebrew for “gathering” and the Greek “Pleistos”
or “Pleion” which means “The many,” “the excellent” or “the great.” The
Japanese name for the Pleiades is Subaru, and the Persian name is Soraya.
Ancient Greeks called them "the clusterers." The Bible sometimes
refers to the Pleiades as the "seven stars" and sometimes to
"Pleiades."

The Four
Royal Stars also called Archangel Stars are; Aldebaran (Michael), Regulus

stars in their constellations and are considered the four guardians of the
heavens. They mark seasonal changes of the year at the equinoxes and solstices.
Aldebaran watches the Eastern sky and is the dominant star in the Taurus
constellation. Regulus watches the North and is the dominant star in the Leo
constellation. Antares watches the West and is the alpha star in Scorpio.
Fomalhaut watches the Southern sky as the brightest star in Piscis Austrinus

Zeta (ζ) Taurus, Al Hecka, "The Bull's southern Horn" this star marks the tip of the southern horn of the Bull.
AL HEEK; A bull’s southern horn. In Arabic, hakka is to scratch or gore. Hebrew HaKHaH is a fishing hook, and, of course, the source of English HOOK. Fishing requires patience as well as angling with a hook, so the notable Taurus patience might be a factor here, before there is an explosion of horned anger. Hebrew HaCKeH also means to wait. The star description mentions power, another meaning of the Hebrew and English source of “horn.”
The two
horns are marked by the stars Zeta and El Nath. The southern eye of Taurus is
denoted by the brilliant Aldebaran, the northern eye being marked by the yellow
giant star Ain, which derives its name from the Arabic ‘ain al-thaur’ meaning
‘the bull’s eye’.

The brightest planet Venus – and the
lovely Pleiades star cluster, aka the Seven Sisters – meet on the sky’s dome
only every 8 years. Last time was in 2012. This week is your chance to see them
meet again. Venus and the Pleiades will be beautiful in the evening sky –
west after sunset – all week.
Their conjunction is April 3, 2020.

Venus grazes past this beautiful cluster. On the middle date – April 3, 2020 –
Venus passes a scant 1/4 degree south of Alcyone, the brightest star in the
Pleiades star cluster.
What’s more, Venus will
be at an near-maximum elongation of 46 degrees east of the setting sun. It is
indeed a big treat to witness a super-close conjunction of Venus and the
Pleiades cluster, and at the same time, have Venus showcase such a favorable
elongation from the sun.
