May Events

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;
afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

1 Corinthians 15:20-23

Celestial Events
The planet Jupiter again dominates this month by being the most conspicuous planet in the night sky. You can look for the bright planet well above the south-southeastern horizon at nightfall. Jupiter moves toward the western horizon as time goes on but remains visible most of the night.
The red glow of Mars is still visible in the western sky after sunset. Mars is getting lower and more difficult to see.

At creation God set his timepieces in motion.

Genesis 1:1-16
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven
to divide the day from the night;
and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven
to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day,
and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
