After initially discovering the salt caves of Mount Sodom decades ago,
Hebrew University officially unveiled their findings on a tour for the press,
inside Mount Sodom.
But the Malham cave, just off of Highway 90 along the coast of the Dead
Sea, is home to a different kind of secret.
Dated at some 7,000 years old, a network of cave chambers and channels
have slowly been carved out of the mountain by rain water dissolving the salty
layers of the hill. But it was only recently, with modern technology, that the
full magnitude of the cave was revealed.
